Who are Family First Volunteers?Family First volunteers are parents themselves or peolpe who have parenting experience. They need no specific qualifications but they do need to be warm, compassionate and understand the stresses and demands of bringing up young children. All volunteers go through a rigorous screening programme and must attend a training course locally giving them insight into all aspects of the service. Regular support and on-going training is offered to all volunteers by the Co-ordinator. |
