Why refer to Family First?
Family First offers a support service to families with at least one child under the age of four.
The support is offered through:
- A flexible home visiting service, delivered by a volunteer (who is a parent or who has parenting experience), tailored to meet the needs of the individual family.
- Group work, offering the opportunity for parents to share ideas and attend workshops on topics or issues identified by them.
It is clear that certain situations may predispose families to stress and tension. This in turn may influence their ability to care for and nurture children within the family.
